One thing that I hated about the curled edges of the aluminum skid plate that I had on my first bike was that you couldnt get the crud out of the edges. This design has a nice 1/8 gap all the way around that will allow me to pressure wash the mud out.

I had to modify my front skid to fit my front hitch and I tested the mid skid by jacking the front end up on the skid. My front has a few scrapes from a big rock that I unseated from a dirt road, but it saved my radiator and probably my oil pan.
